He ran away didn’t say What was on his mind But knows he’s wasting time In this small town Seventeen years old He’s lying on the floor Jaded and bored There’s gotta be a way out Whoa, Oh can’t you see? That you bring me down With all this negativity If you can’t find a way, Well livin’s easy when it’s for free And I’m outta my mind Like where did the time go? Well I know And I’m outta my mind, whoa I focus on what’s right though, no And I’m outta my mind, whoa Where did the time go? Whoa, I’m outta my mind I'm focused on what’s right though These kids, still gettin' sick of 'em Talkin’ in my ear, But I ain’t even listenin’ In this town, Where I was born in ‘94 Ain't look back since I was out the door Things never seem to be runnin' short And I can’t support Feel it up, and feel the vibe When the rhythm is the rhyme You know that it is time And I’m outta my mind Like where did the time go? Well I know And I’m outta my mind, whoa I focus on what’s right though, no And I’m outta my mind, whoa Where did the time go? Whoa, and I’m outta my mind I focus on what’s right though And I’m outta my mind Where did the time go? I’m outta my mind I’m outta my mind Where did the time go? Outta my mind Focus on what’s right though And I’m outta my mind Like where did the time go? Well I know And I’m outta my mind, whoa I focus on what’s right though, no And I’m outta my mind

Typical as any other night I don’t know what you’re thinking about Until I see the look in your eye Directed at someone else You said it was over You know I wish that you would take it back But now it’s too late to react I know you hate yourself for the thoughts that you think You’re wasted so I plead And I’ve been hurt before Now you’ve got me wondering Was it worth it? I hope it was worth it ‘cause I Don’t know what to think anymore Was it worth it? You know I hope it was worth it ‘cause I Don’t know what to think anymore The pain is no surprise I see it in your eyes, oh How the tables have turned How much we’ve learned, I see I see it in your eyes, see it in your eyes I never realized how gone you were I never spoke to you, never spoke to you About the truths I felt I know you hate yourself for the thoughts you think I know it’s kind of hard But I’m trying not to dream And every night when I sleep, I wonder Was it worth it? I hope it was worth it ‘cause I Don’t know what to think anymore Was it worth it? You know I hope it was worth it ‘cause I Don’t know what to think anymore Was it worth it? I hope it was worth it ‘cause I Don’t know what think any- don’t know what to think any- Alright Alright Alright Alright

Midwest Girl 03:14
I was searching, I was searching around town Trying to find what I couldn’t find Now when day, when day come to pass I find her on my mind Whether near or far, when I look into my heart Said she’s my one true love And when the day is done, you know I always love You for who you are I still love you I still love you And whether tears of joy and pride ‘cause you’re the apple of my eye And whether to go or stay does not change just what I say You’re the one I want to be, forever now just you and me If I’m the jester you’re the queen and no one else will come between And no one else will between, oh Oh I finally found, said I found a girl Who’s gonna hold me tight I finally found, I found a girl Gonna love me right Finally found, said I found a girl Finally found, I found a girl Gonna love me right

Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air Don’t leave me hangin’ here tonight Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air Feel the tide, Gonna feel the rhyme, With the rhythm, in the rhythm, in the rhythm of the rhyme Oh the days, have passed me by One day when it all went awry, I put my shades on And when the sun came up the very next day, I was amazed ‘cause Didn’t know you could go so low Just to come right back up I didn’t know I could go so empty To fill my own cup Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air Don’t leave me hangin’ here tonight Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air Don’t leave me hangin’ here tonight All these days are numbered, All my lies they count in the book I did a number on my back Cause it's carrying high Didn’t know you could go so low Just to come right back up I didn’t know I could go so empty To fill my own cup Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air Don’t leave me hangin’ here tonight Don’t leave me hangin’ here, With my feet in the air

Summertime said we feel alright, With the days passing by it doesn't phase me Go and get some bud and it fills my high, But in the wintertime the wind feels like A thousand needles straight through your core Where do you lead us? Where do we go? A thousand needles straight through your core And it feels like just right Everywhere that we go we spread the love The love, the love, the love Everywhere that we go we know God's up above, Everywhere that we go we spread the love The love, the love, the love I take my time, it fills my mind I look around and realize That everybody's got their own way A little tense but that's okay And I nod my head from side to side Now I put my strings on overdrive Look to the sky, people tellin' me there's no chance Don't worry 'bout it, I'm movin' up with big plans A thousand needles straight through your core Where do you lead us? Where do we go? A thousand needles straight through your core And it feels like just right Everywhere that we go we spread the love The love, the love, the love Everywhere that we go we know God's up above, Everywhere that we go we spread the love The love, the love, the love When you speak do you think? Before you open your mouth? Think about the words that come out? I got it in your head I have no doubt When you speak do you think? Before you open your mouth? Think about the words that come out? I got it in your head I have no doubt Because your word's like A thousand needles straight through your core A thousand needles straight through your core Whoa Take your time look me in the eyes And tell me one lie, and tell me three times And I told you right now, look at me again And it's easy to pretend, when you're tellin' me You said there's jealousy, lookin' like the enemy And I'll tell you one time, and I'll tell you again I'm not your friend A thousand needles straight through your core A thousand needles straight through your core

A lotta water in these bloodshot eyes You can take away all of these ?? Take your shades off said I know you're inside When you do though, looks like you're about to cry You’re so faded right? And I’ve contemplated relativity, what it means to me And I’ve been thinking since half past noon I’m trying to find a way to talk to you So tired Of being out in the sun I said I feel so tired ‘Cause I’ve been out all alone, out all alone oh So tired Of being out in the sun I said I feel so tired ‘Cause I’ve been out all alone, out all alone oh On your own I’m tryin’ to talk to you Fix your demeanor, fix your attitude I know you had your troubles and that’s fine But I’m tryin’ to tell you everything will be alright You’re so faded right? And I’ve contemplated relativity, what it means to me And I’ve been thinking since half past noon I’m trying to find a way to talk to you So tired Of being out in the sun I said I feel so tired ‘Cause I’ve been out all alone, out all alone oh So tired Of being out in the sun I said I feel so tired ‘Cause I’ve been out all alone, out all alone oh

Feelin’ irie with this wind in my hair No time to care, summertime in the air. Essence of an irie man runnin’ with his gun More time for love, weed is his drug I’m feelin’ irie, we’re feelin’ irie I’m feelin’ irie I’m feelin’ irie, who’s feelin’ irie? Feelin’ irie

I’ve never found a Tree too tall to climb I’ve never had a Pain I could not subside As I think about it, Well I got you on my mind If you were a movie, I’d watch you all the time These papers stack my bedroom, But I’m busy getting high And I just worked up the courage, To say I’ve loved you all my life And you know how it goes ‘Cause this feeling I can’t fight it I’ll tell you once, I’ll try not to recite my love for you And there’s pain in my heart, And I’m sorry that I won’t lie I’ll give you only one more try

"Ooooooo OOOOO ooo!" Too far gone, to realize I'm too far gone, open your eyes That one day, when they lay me down to rest I know this vibe and it still beats through my chest Too far gone, to realize I'm too far gone, open your eyes That one day, when they lay me down to rest I know this vibe and it still beats through my chest You make way when you come up to me Recite it back Cause I'm feelin' irie I walk through the door, I said I've been here before Your cup, push your cup when you runnin' up to me You try to say that you're feelin' irie I said sure, while you know what to say, with the quickness, the quickness, with the quickness you'll get laid And I'm too far gone, to realize... That one day, when they lay me down to rest I sing this vibe as I'm too far gone Too far gone... Too far gone... Too far gone to realize...

about

Bittersweet Vibe is a reggae rock band located in Omaha, NE. In 2011, David Korff, Tyler Paskach, Connor Paskach, and Russ Riley got together and started covering some of their favorite reggae rock songs.

Shortly after, they started writing and recording their own material. Their writing features influences in reggae, rock, alternative, hip-hop, dub, ska, jazz, blues, funk, and more; and the result of their diverse musical backgrounds created one of the most unique, feel good sounds in the reggae rock genre.

Within one year of playing together, they had written over ten original songs, and begun recording their self-titled album, "Bittersweet Vibe". Incredibly, the members of Bittersweet Vibe ranged from the age of 16 to 20 when writing and recording this album.

Tragically, during the recording process, David Korff lost his life in a car accident. This sent shockwaves through the Omaha community, having lost such an incredible individual. David was a truly down to earth, talented, genuine person.

The band decided the best way to remember David and carry on his name was to finish up this album. For the year following David's passing, Tyler Paskach, Connor Paskach, Russ Riley, and Chris Johnson (a fellow musician and long time friend of the band) finished up the CD. All songs on this album feature lead vocals and guitar by David Korff (unless otherwise noted).

So we are pleased to finally announce the release of Bittersweet Vibe's self-titled album. Enjoy this CD and always remember the incredibly talented David James Korff.
